Tanker truck fire Wednesday night on Highway 20 in Montreal

A tanker truck caught on fire Wednesday night while heading eastbound on Highway 20 near the Turcot interchange in Montreal.

The truck was transporting gasoline before catching fire near Highway 15 around 10:30 p.m.

According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), there were no reported injuries.

The Montreal Fire Department (SIM) was also present at the scene to help extinguish the blaze and motorists were asked to avoid the area.

Highway 20 reopened Thursday morning around 5:30 a.m.
