The Sûreté du Québec is investigating suspicious deaths after finding three bodies in Nouvelle, in the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region, on Saturday morning.
The police department reports that, around 8:30 a.m., officers from the Avignon MRC were called to intervene in a forested area near Chemin de Brébeuf in Nouvelle because three people had been found unconscious in a vehicle.
The provincial police are treating these deaths as suspicious deaths and investigators from the SQ’s major crime investigation service, as well as a forensic identification technician, were dispatched to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of these deaths.
The SQ states that at this stage, all hypotheses are being considered.
An investigation is ongoing in collaboration with the coroner’s office.
