Man, 37, stabbed and killed on Montreal meto platform

A man died of his injuries after an altercation that escalated on a platform at Guy-Concordia station on Saturday night.

“At around 11:20 pm, the 37-year-old man was attacked with a sharp object to the upper body on the platform in the direction of the Honoré-Beaugrand terminus,” said Montreal police (SPVM) spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

It is the 29th homicide of the year on the Island of Montreal.

“Investigators from the SPVM’s Major Crimes Section are on the case to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the event,” said Brabant.

For the moment, no arrests have been made.
