Montreal police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 11-year-old girl.
Jahan Mamun was last seen Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Belanger and François-Boivin streets in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.
“She is said to be in bad company, and those close to her, as well as investigators, have reason to fear for her safety,” police said in a news release.
Police say she has a dark complexion and is four feet three inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. She speaks French.
She is wearing a grey sweater, grey pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
