Canada Post’s N.D.G. depot to close in November

The Canada Post depot on Sherbrooke St. in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce will be closing in November, the mail company confirmed on Friday.

Canada Post cited a continuing restructuring of its delivery routes “to best serve our (N.D.G.) customers” as the reason.

“As this facility was used for our operations only, meaning there are no retail services there, customer’s won’t be affected by the closure,” spokesperson Phil Rogers said in an email.

The depot will officially close on Nov. 15, with routes rerouted to the Snowdon (4944 Décarie Blvd.) and Bridge (225 Bridge St.) depots as of the following Monday (Nov. 18).

“Working with our bargaining agents, we will support all our employees impacted by this change,” Rogers said.
