Child rushed to hospital after being struck by car in Montreal’s east end

Montreal police were en route at noontime Tuesday to investigate a collision that saw a child struck by a car in east-end Montreal.

Police said the collision occurred at the corner of Viau and Métropolitain Blvds. and that the child, whose age was not immediately available, had been seriously injured.

Police spokesperson Véronique Dubuc said the victim was conscious and being transported to hospital for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the incident had not been immediately established.
