Laurentians hardest-hit by blackouts from high winds across Quebec

More than 160 Hydro-Québec workers on Saturday morning were scrambling to restore power after strong winds caused blackouts across the province, especially in the Laurentians.

A total of more than 45,000 households were still without electricity as of 11 a.m. for a total of  389 outages.

The regions most affected by were the Laurentians (with 82 blackouts), followed by the Eastern Townships (with 77), Outaouais (with 48), Lanaudière (with 43) and Montérége (with 29). Montreal had 11 blackouts throughout the island.
