Man arrested after stabbing in C.D.N.-N.D.G.

A suspect was arrested Wednesday following a mid-afternoon stabbing in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

According to police, a 911 call reported a man had been stabbed around 2:10 p.m., on Sherbrooke St. W. near Beaconsfield Ave.

The victim, 44, was conscious when rushed to a local hospital. A suspect in his mid-40s was arrested nearby.

Police were still waiting for an update on the victim’s medical condition as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to witnesses police spoke with, a conflict broke out between the two men shortly before the stabbing.

The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was caught by officers.
