An 83-year-old man who went missing three days ago from his home in Laval has been found dead, local police said on Thursday afternoon.
Nicholas Bazigos, 83, who was last seen on June 17, when he left his home in Chomedey. The public appeal for help in finding him mentioned he suffered from health problems and had difficulty walking.
In a communiqué issued at 12:30 p.m., police said Bazigos had been found dead. They provided no immediate details on the circumstances leading to the discovery of his body but gave no indication his death was the result of any criminal activity.
Police had deployed a command post, a search boat and and canine unit in their search for Nicholas Bazigos.
