Montreal police make three arrests for alleged firearms trafficking

The Montreal police made three arrests on Wednesday evening in connection with firearms trafficking, the police force announced on Friday.

The trio, ages 18, 20 and 23, appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Thursday to face several charges of arms trafficking and unauthorized possession of prohibited weapons, the police said in a statement. The three, who were arrested in Laval and Montreal, will remain in custody pending further legal proceedings, it said.
