The Montreal police seized more than 1,500 methamphetamine tablets, three firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition at a suspect’s home in Montreal North last week.

The 43-year-old man was arrested and appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Friday to face several drug trafficking and gun possession charges.

While searching his home and car, police say they also found $24,000 in cash and an amount of cocaine estimated to be worth $4,000.

Police believe the weapons seized were stolen during a break-in in the Mercier—Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough a few days earlier.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or their local police station. They can also communicate anonymously via Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 or infocrimemontreal.ca.
