Eastbound Côte-de-Liesse Rd. will be closed between Highway 520 and the Decarie Interchange over the weekend for work on Royalmount, Quebec’s Transport Ministry announced Monday.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area as the closure will probably result in “severe congestion.”

The closure will be in effect from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Northbound Devonshire Rd. between Royalmount Ave. and Côte-de-Liesse Rd. will also be closed from Friday at 9 p.m. to Sunday at 9 p.m., as will the access leading from Devonshire Place to eastbound Côte-de-Liesse Rd.

“These obstacles risk causing severe congestion,” the ministry said. “Users who will have to travel in the area are invited to allow more time to get to their destination.”
