Laval police on Wednesday announced they had made two arrests in connection with at least five cases of arson committed on their territory over the past year.
Alexandre Noris Badescu, 19, and Riccardo Hans-Douyon, 22, were arrested May 22 and face charges of arson, conspiracy and possession of incendiary materials. They remain in custody pending their next court appearance on Thursday.

Police allege the pair were involved in setting fire to three restaurants and two vehicles in 2023, resulting in more than $2 million in damage.
