No major highway or bridge closures are planned for this weekend, but some highway ramps will be closed, and there are some transit disruptions. Here are trouble spots to watch out for this weekend:

Highway 40

The ramp from Highway 520 toward Highway 40 East will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, and one lane of Highway 40 will also be closed around this entrance all weekend. Traffic will be detoured to the Ste-Croix entrance, while trucks will have to go west and get on the highway via Cavendish Blvd., Griffith St. and Locke St.

Highway 13/520

The ramp from Highway 13 North to Highway 520 East will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday until Oct. 26. Traffic will need to make a U-turn using the other ramps of the interchange to get to the ramp from Highway 13 South, or detour via Highway 40. Lanes will also be closed on the service road for Highway 520 East.

Highway 30

Repaving work will require closing one of two lanes of the highway in two sections Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.: westbound in Les Cèdres after Route 338, and eastbound over the Châteauguay River. The entrance eastbound from Haute-Rivière Rd. in Mercier will be closed Sunday only.

Métro

The discovery of a structural issue has forced the closure of the St-Michel, d’Iberville and Fabre stations on the Blue Line until further notice. A bus, Line 809, will shuttle users between those stations and Jean-Talon station during the métro’s opening hours.

REM

A systems update means the Réseau express métropolitain will start at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. Shuttle buses will provide service between Brossard and Gare Centrale stations from 5:30 to 7 a.m.

Upcoming

Work on Highway 520 at Hickmore St. will shift to the service roads next week. The westbound service road will be closed between Ness and Griffith Sts. as of Oct. 8 for about two weeks, and the eastbound one between Merizzi and Hickmore Sts. as of Oct. 15 for about two weeks. The ramp from Hickmore to Highway 520 east will be closed from Oct. 23 for about a week. Hickmore St. itself remains closed under the highway, and a free shuttle is available 24/7 to carry pedestrians and cyclists across the highway.

Continuing disruptions

  • Highway 10: The ramp from the Bonaventure Expressway toward the Champlain Bridge is closed until “mid-October.” Traffic is detoured via Gaétan-Laberge Blvd. Access to Nuns’ Island is maintained during this work. The access to Highway 10 West from Nuns’ Island is closed until the end of November.
  • Highway 15: In Candiac, the ramps from Highway 15 North to Highway 930 West and from Highways 15 South to 930 East are closed until November, and lanes are narrowed on both highways through the interchange.
  • Highway 25: Half of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel is closed as part of a long-term renovation project, with traffic sharing the remaining tunnel — one lane toward the South Shore and two lanes toward Montreal.
  • Highway 40: The Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge is down to three lanes — one in each direction, and one lane that switches directions on weekdays. During weekends, the extra lane is for traffic to Vaudreuil-Dorion.
  • Route 117: In St-Laurent, two northbound lanes and one southbound lane are closed on Marcel-Laurin Blvd. between the Décarie Interchange and St-Louis St., for work by the city of Montreal until the end of the year.
  • Route 136: The Guy St. exit eastbound is closed until Dec. 8.
  • Route 338: In Vaudreuil-Dorion, Route de Lotbinière is closed between Chicoine St. and St-Jean-Baptiste Ave. for water and sewer infrastructure work until the end of November.
  • Highway 520: Lanes are closed at 43rd Ave. until December.
  • St-Antoine St.: In the Sud-Ouest, the street is closed between du Couvent St. and Rose-de-Lima St., and traffic is reversed to go eastbound between Rose-de-Lima and Atwater Ave.
  • Pie-IX Blvd.: Work to extend the SRB Pie-IX south means only one lane is open in each direction between Pierre-de-Coubertin Ave. and Notre-Dame St. Cross streets between de Rouen and Ste-Catherine Sts. will be closed at Pie-IX.
  • St-Urbain St.: The overpass over the Ville-Marie Expressway is closed for a long renovation, until the end of 2026. Pedestrian access is maintained.
