Football’s back in Montreal!
It’s been almost six months – to the day – when our players lifted the Grey Cup for the first time in 13 years! Doesn’t it feel like it was only yesterday? Incredible but true, the 2024 season is already upon us: Saturday marks the first opportunity to see your favourites back in action along with the many new faces who will be trying to crack the lineup!
A fully-loaded pre-game!
To help get you back in the swing of things – and game shape! – we have a few surprises in store as soon as the gates open at 6:00 p.m.! Starting at 6:15 p.m. DJ Blaze will be at the BUDLIGHT BIERGARDEN to get you warmed up. Bonus: Meet wrestler Pierre Carl Ouellet, also at the BUDLIGHT BIERGARDEN, who’ll be on hand to chat and sign autographs.
A country music-flavoured half-time show
Singer Justin Legacy will host the halftime festivities for our first preseason game: A country music concert to kick off a summer of football which promises to be super-exciting.
It’s our dance team’s first game of the season, too!
This pre-season game will be our dance team’s debut performance as well. Powered by KIA, we’re looking forward to nothing less than high energy.
Positions and players to keep your eyes on
The first preseason game is also an opportunity to check out the many new players who are gunning for a roster spot: The running back position should be especially hotly contested. And make sure to watch out for local players who also have their sights set on making the team, including Maxym Lavallee, Frederik Antoine and the Alouettes’ first pick of the 2024 draft, Geoffrey Cantin-Arku.
